The 2026 China International Plastics Exhibition, held concurrently with the 7th Exhibition of New Plastics Materials, Technologies, Equipment and Products, took place at Nanjing International Expo Center from October 28 to 30, 2026. HyMax® Anti-Hydrolysis Solutions
Improving Material Durability for Greener Applications
Greener development in the plastics industry requires attention not only to recycling and disposal, but also to stable performance throughout a product's use. Preventing premature material failure and maintaining reliable performance over the intended service life remain important priorities in materials research and application development.
In biodegradable materials such as PLA and PBAT, as well as polymers including PET, PBT and TPU, hydrolysis can cause polymer chain scission, leading to reduced strength, embrittlement and a shorter service life. These effects are particularly pronounced under hot and humid conditions.

Balancing Processing and End-Use Performance in Waterborne Systems
Waterborne coatings, adhesives and related materials provide more options for reducing solvent use. At the same time, improving their water, chemical and abrasion resistance, as well as adhesion, remains an ongoing challenge in formulation development.
HyMax®CA
The HyMax® CA environmentally friendly carbodiimide crosslinking agents exhibited at the event react with carboxyl-functional resin systems. They help improve the water, chemical and abrasion resistance of coatings and enhance adhesion to substrates, providing performance optimization options for waterborne polyurethane, waterborne acrylic and other systems.
HyMax®WBI
HyMax® WBI waterborne blocked isocyanate curing agents use blocking technology to control reactivity, balancing storage stability at room temperature with crosslinking performance after heat curing. They are suitable for waterborne material systems with the appropriate heating conditions.
With a range of crosslinking products, Langyi aims to help customers identify solutions suited to their formulations and production conditions, taking account of resin composition, processing methods and finished-product requirements.
