Environmentally friendly water-based coatings or finishing agents have shortcomings in terms of water resistance, solvent resistance, wear resistance, etc. The current effective solution is to improve coating performance by adding crosslinking agents. Crosslinking agents can react with various polymers to form a network structure, increase molecular weight, and significantly improve the overall performance of water-based coatings.
Polycarbonamide is a new type of environmentally friendly crosslinking agent, which has the characteristics of low toxicity, zero VOC, easy dispersion in aqueous systems, long activation period, and mild curing conditions. The crosslinked coating obtains excellent chemical resistance, wear resistance, and hydrolysis resistance, while the strength of the coating is significantly improved. Therefore, Polycarbonamide has become an ideal crosslinking agent for high-performance coatings or finishing agents.
HyMax ® The CA series is a low toxicity and environmentally friendly water-based crosslinking agent containing carbodiimide functional groups.
HyMax ® CA can undergo cross-linking reaction with resin systems containing carboxyl groups, improving water resistance, chemical resistance, and wear resistance, while also enhancing adhesion to the substrate surface.
